Sci-fi Character Concept (Nikita)

Lately I've been wanting to get comfortable with drawing within genres other than fantasy, so I decided to try and delve into sci-fi. Nikita is a rather simple first attempt at a character design within this genre but definitely a good start! The mechanical lines and her day to day outfit are both very inspired by Cyberpunk 2077.
Nikita is one of a small handful of mech pilots within her city. Pilots are few and far between, but very highly regarded, because becoming one requires an individual to go through a rigorous training process as well as several body modifications in order to be able to withstand piloting an enormous machine. While trying to figure out how I wanted her piloting suit to look I finally settled on something form fitting and with minimal chunky segments to show that the pilot needs full range of motion. Some of the sketches also show my process of trying to figure out how the pilot would be placed within the mech; in the end I landed on them being suspended with an attached mechanical arm holding them up.
